Bryony Gillard
Untitled Monoprint, 2019
pressed seaweed and water based inks on cream fabriano paper
Edition 1/1

A percentage of this purchase will go to supporting the artist, and a percentage will go back into supporting Turf's programme, collectives and future.

This print was made by printing with pressed seaweeds collected as drift off the coast of south/east Scotland during a residency at Hospitalfield in Autumn 2019. It is unique, made with water based inks and seaweeds (forest kelp and grape pip weed). Part of a series, these prints form a fragment of the thinking process behind a body of work exploring relationships between seaweed and gender, and the importance of ecologies of care. // Thanks For Supporting Turf!

Turf are a registered charity, so all of our funding – including from your purchase – goes back into keeping our programme running & free!

The money from your purchase might end up as one of our free exhibitions, workshops & events working with early career artists. Or it might become materials, a visiting artist, or a trip for one of our local artist collectives; MOSS & Art Press. It might help continue our support & residency programme for Croydon School of Art students at the beginning of their careers, or go towards our reserves helping us to build a stable future for Turf.

Wherever it ends up, we’re all very grateful for your support. We also love to see where your purchases end up! Tag us on instagram @turfprojects
